This felt like the most wonderful natural process! Gathering loads of gorgeous yellow apples amongst the Autumn leaves to take home. I used this recipe:

I had hours of fun making the jelly - well actually it was two days - one to cook up the apples and then load them into a seive contraption, and the next to add sugar and behold - the jelly!
(I was extra careful during this process, seeing as the last time I made crabapple jelly I was pregnant with Rueben and I couldn't even keep count of my "one cup apples, one cup sugar...."!)
And it came out great! Yeeha!

When we were in the Wairarapa, I saw the most gorgeous idea for presenting the jelly:
